The Alpine Magnum
stump grinder was designed to be a versatile, multipurpose stump
grinder and trench digger. It utilizes a 4800 rpm cutting head
and carbide-tipped teeth to cut into stumps faster than other stump
grinders costing up to 3 times the Magnum's price.
The Magnum shown above is grinding a large
tree stump, demonstrating the key advantages of its design - speed, portability,
and power. Instead of using a dull, steel cutting teeth like other stump-grinders,
the Magnum uses a set of 6 highly sharpened carbide-tipped teeth to cut through
stumps rapidly. Although it only weighs 88 pounds, the Magnum utilizes a torque
doubled 6 to 10 horsepower engine to cut stumps at an incredible 4800 rpm, which
offers a lightweight alternative to heavy, slow 4-stroke grinders.
The Magnum is designed
to be operator friendly - it utilizes a small width cutting head
and balanced chassis supports to insure that it can fit into any
space to cut stumps, including overgrown woods areas, confined
residential areas, and open terrain. This highly portable design
allows the Magnum access to stumps that other grinders won't even
touch. Weighing in at only 88 pounds, the Magnum can actually be
carried onto job sites that other machines can't touch - which
saves time that otherwise might be spent clearing off a path to
the work area.
